App “Baby Food Recipe Flashcards” (shown on the phone as “Baby Food Cards”) · version of 21 September 2026
In short: everything you enter — your child's name, birthday and food preferences, and the recipes you save — stays on your device and is never sent to us. The free version shows advertising from Google AdMob, which processes technical data from your device; in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it does so only with your consent. Buying “Plus” removes the advertising and, with it, the only third party in the app.

This policy is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), under which the operator is established, and is intended to satisfy the privacy laws of the other countries the app is sold in, including the US state privacy laws and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The app is for parents and carers, not for children (section 8).
The app has no account and no sign-up. What you type into it is stored only in the app's own storage on your device:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Each child's name, date of birth and — optionally — whether the app should say “he” or “she” | To choose recipes for the right age and to address the child by name on screen |
| Food preferences: allergens to avoid, vegetarian, quick recipes, texture, and a family eating tradition (halal, kosher, Hindu, no pork, no beef) | To filter which recipes are suggested |
| The recipes you have saved, and which ones you have already been shown | For the Favourites page and so that suggestions do not repeat |
| Your chosen app language | To show the app and the recipes in that language |
| Whether you have bought “Plus” | To hide advertising and lift the free limits |
None of this is transmitted to us. We never see that you installed the app, what you entered, or which recipes you saved. A child's name and birthday are personal data of that child; they are processed only on your device, by you, and remain under your control.
The free version shows a banner at the bottom of the screen served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland; otherwise Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). To show an advertisement, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app sends technical data to Google, which may include:
Google uses this data to select and deliver advertisements, to measure them, and to detect fraud. Depending on your consent choices, Google may use it to personalise advertising across apps and websites. How Google processes it is described in the Google privacy policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any advertising data is processed, using Google's consent message. You can decline; the app works the same either way — only the advertising changes. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the “Privacy options” link on the Plus page in the app. The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where you consent, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses.
Outside those regions, advertising data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in funding the free version of the app, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can limit personalisation at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalisation”). Where a state law gives you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or of targeted advertising, you can exercise it through those same device settings; we do not sell personal information ourselves and hold none to sell.
Buying “Plus” removes the banner. The advertising SDK then makes no requests, and no data goes to Google from the app.
The purchase is handled entirely by Apple or by Google. They process the payment, they hold the payment details, and they decide what they tell us. We receive only anonymous sales reports — numbers of sales by country, never who bought anything. The app stores only the fact that the purchase was made, so that it can hide the advertising. Apple and Google act as separate controllers for that processing:
The “Share” button hands the recipe text to your device's share sheet. What happens next is up to the app you choose there (Messages, WhatsApp, Mail, …) and its own privacy policy. Nothing about the recipient or the message comes back to us. The shared text contains only the recipe, never your child's name.
You can remove a child, and everything stored for that child, from the filters sheet in the app. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored. There is nothing to request from us, because we hold nothing.
If you have iCloud Backup or Android Backup switched on, your operating system may include the app's storage in that backup. That backup is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us, and we have no access to it. You can exclude the app in your device settings.
The app is for parents and carers of babies and toddlers. It is not directed at children and is not intended to be used by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The advertising in the free version is requested with Google's “treat as child-directed” flag off, because the person using the phone is an adult; the child's name and birthday never leave the device and are never sent to Google or to us. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to the address above and we will delete it.
If you write to us about the app, we process your email address and whatever you put in the message, on the legal basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering you. We keep the correspondence as long as needed to deal with it, and delete it afterwards. Please do not send us health information about your child or anything else you would not want in an ordinary email: there is no reason for us to have it.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Articles 15–21), and the right to complain to a supervisory authority (Article 77). Users in California and other US states have comparable rights under their state laws. In practice there is nothing for us to give you, correct or erase, because we hold no data about you; for the advertising data, please use Google's tools linked in section 3. If you believe otherwise, write to the address above and we will look into it. You will not be treated differently for exercising a right.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy is updated before that version is published, and the date at the top changes with it.
